Circa 1950s-1970s/West Germany

Hummel figurines, also known as M.I. Hummel figurines, are a series of decorative porcelain figurines based on the artwork of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel. These figurines were first produced in Germany in the 1930s by the W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik. They are characterized by their charming depictions of children and their idyllic, often nostalgic, scenes.

The "Accordion Boy" figurine, model number 185, is a classic example of Hummel's work, showcasing a young boy in traditional Bavarian attire playing the instrument. Figurines produced in West Germany after World War II are highly sought after by collectors, and this particular piece is representative of that era's craftsmanship and artistic style.
